Blue is a melancholic color. Pablo Picasso, Van Gogh, Yves Klein all used blue extensively. This is a series of exploration with the flow field technique. I hope music flows for you, creativity flows for you. Even though sometimes sadness flows, tears flow. I hope you still find infinite possibilities.

Technical Notes

I was inspired by Tyler Hobbs’s writing on flow fields and basically implemented the flow field myself. Then I tried drawing the lines along the flow field with simple Perlin noise in 2D imported from p5.js directly.

I used a blue gradient for colors and added a white strip of shorter lines as a ribbon in the center.
